Normal Grief Festival
The Normal Grief Festival is a multimedia event at Cafe Kino in Bristol on March 14th. We wanted to create a space that normalises grief. Grief is an inevitable part of the human experience, which is why it is so important to make talking about it less taboo.
The day includes a creative writing workshop about grief, a story circle led by grief coach Rachel Fowler, and a short film screening featuring 10 amazing films about different types of grief. It will conclude with an open mic night, where people can share stories, perform their stand-up routines, or sing songs. The stage is open to everyone, and the themes don’t have to be about grief, comic relief will be very welcome at the end of the day.
